Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC) receivesTop 10 Trusted Brand Award 2024

The “Trusted Brands 2024” awards aim to recognize reputable, leading brands in the Vietnamese market; encourage sustainable brand development and affirm the value of Vietnamese brands, strengthening domestic consumer confidence, while confirming that Vietnamese brands are ready to integrate into Asia–Pacific and global markets. The program selects and announces product and service brands that are reputable and of high quality, meeting the criteria set by the Organizing Committee.
The program was launched and has received strong support from companies and businesses nationwide. Over the past more than 10 years, thousands of corporate brands have been evaluated, announced and honored.
The program consistently honors the tireless efforts, resilience and continuous innovation of enterprises that proactively adapt, accelerate digital transformation, rapidly restore production and business activities, uphold sound labor and employment policies, and actively contribute to social and community responsibility.
After undergoing objective assessment and voting rounds by the Evaluation Council, VFC was named among the Top 10 Trusted Brands 2024.
In addition to this Top 10 Trusted Brands 2024 award, selected by the Asia Economic Research Institute in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Science for Enterprise Development and Ho Chi Minh City Television, VFC has also been honored many times with other prestigious awards in recent major programs, such as: Top 50 Leading National Strong Brands; Top 50 Best-Performing Companies in Vietnam; and Top 100 Leading Brands in Vietnam 2021 (for the third time), among others.

The Top 10 Trusted Brands 2024 award is a source of great pride and an important recognition from competent authorities and reputable associations for VFC. It is also a strong motivation for the company’s leadership and entire staff to continue working and dedicating themselves to the development of the company, the country and Vietnamese farmers.
For nearly five decades, VFC has continuously strived to build and grow from its early days after national reunification, when it was first established as a fumigation team under the Plant Protection Department with just over 30 staff members. To date, its workforce has expanded to more than 1,400 employees.

Looking back on proud milestones
In 1976, the Plant Protection Department established Fumigation Team 1 in Hai Phong and Fumigation Team 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, responsible for treating pests in warehouses and factories. In 1983, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development established Fumigation Company 1 in Hai Phong and Fumigation Company 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, the locations of the country’s two largest ports, with the mandate to control insects in warehouses and industrial facilities. In 1989, for the first time in history, Vietnamese agricultural products began to be exported. In 1993, Fumigation Company 1 and Fumigation Company 2 were merged into Vietnam Fumigation Company. In 1994, the company entered the agrochemical field, distributing plant protection products and supplying seeds. In 1997, it launched PestMaster services for the control of flies, mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches and termites in restaurants, hotels, construction works and households. In 1998, the company acted as coordinator of the project to replace methyl bromide in fumigation to protect the ozone layer, under UNIDO/UNEP’s industrial development program. In 1999, it joined the International Maritime Fumigation Organization (IMFO) and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA, USA). In 2001, Vietnam Fumigation Company was equitized and renamed Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC), and obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification from BVQI/UKAS/ANSI/RAB. In 2008, the VFC Tower in Ho Chi Minh City and the Novotel Hotel in Nha Trang were officially put into operation. In October 2009, the company announced its new brand strategy and corporate identity, and on 17 December its shares were listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
To meet market demand and implement its new development strategy, VFC invested in building a formulation and packaging plant in Thai Hoa Industrial Park, Duc Hoa district, Long An province, with a total area of over 30,000 m² and a maximum capacity of more than 9,500 tons per year. As a leader in agrochemicals and fumigation–pest control, VFC, with its strong team of engineers, constantly seeks to apply new technologies in production, focusing on research and development to improve and innovate product quality, ensuring that its solutions respond promptly to market needs and evolving pest pressures.
In recognition of its contributions over nearly 50 years, Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company has achieved notable honors: in 1998 it was awarded the Third-class Labor Order; in 1999 the Second-class Labor Order; and in 2000 the First-class Labor Order, all conferred by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
VFC has not only grown in step with the development milestones of Vietnam’s agriculture, but has also consistently shouldered its responsibility to farmers and to society. Its nearly 50-year journey has been one of perseverance, overcoming challenges and making significant strides in innovation, brand development and product quality. As the first fumigation company in Vietnam, VFC has achieved business success while also generating social benefits, creating additional income opportunities for farmers and contributing positively to the living environment of Vietnamese people.
