Internal training – enhancing market access capabilities in the era of digital technology and social media
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) has ushered in a new era marked by an explosion in information technology and global connectivity, especially in how people connect with one another more closely and efficiently. In particular, the year 2020 witnessed profound disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which heavily impacted healthcare systems as well as the global economy. At the same time, the pandemic significantly changed how society accesses information and consumes products and services, presenting both challenges and golden opportunities for the rapid growth of digital technology, social media, and e-commerce.
Viet Nam is no exception to these global shifts. Under the impact of the pandemic, every business sector is required to be creative and agile in order to adapt and continue developing in the new context.
Against this backdrop, VFC has clearly identified both the difficulties and challenges of these trends, as well as the opportunities and potential to apply technology and leverage social media for more effective approaches to customers and farmers. VFC places human resources at the center, with technology serving as the tool and lever to support business activities under current conditions and in the coming period.
To realize this vision, VFC has placed strong emphasis on human resource training to strengthen capabilities and skills in customer and farmer engagement in the era of digital technology and social media.

The internal training and competition program “I Am a Member of the Supporting Farmers Task Force 4.0” has been organized by VFC with the following objectives:
- Enhance the capabilities and work efficiency of each individual within the entire Supporting Farmers Task Force (TSCND).
- Create a platform that encourages creativity and healthy competition so that customer and farmer engagement activities become increasingly effective and professional.
- Use the contest as a practical mechanism for staff to both work and continuously improve themselves through internal training, turning each employee into an effective communication channel.
This will provide a solid foundation for improving the capacity and performance of VFC’s human resources amid an increasingly volatile business environment.
Digital technology and social media connectivity have been effectively applied by VFC in market development activities, helping maintain contact and technical transfer to farmers, especially under the challenging conditions of the pandemic.
