Interim review of the VFC TSCND program – “Integration Fields” for the 2020–2021 winter–spring crop
VFC’s “Supporting Farmers” (TSCND) program was officially launched in 2012 with the objective of strengthening connection and sharing between VFC and farmers through field demonstration models and technical transfer activities. After nearly 10 years of implementation, the TSCND program has received strong support from farmers and customers. VFC’s brand and products have become increasingly well recognized, and the program has delivered tangible benefits to farmers and the agricultural sector in general, as well as to VFC’s business performance in particular.
Today, production conditions and market demand continue to evolve, especially under the deepening impacts of economic integration. From this reality, VFC officially launched a farmer engagement program with content and implementation methods better aligned with practical conditions: the “VFC TSCND – Integration Fields” program. The aim is to work with farmers towards more sustainable production values that meet integration trends, and to support farmers in more scientific and smarter cultivation practices to achieve the goals of “Efficiency – Safety – Profitability”. The “VFC TSCND – Integration Fields” program has received strong support and participation from VFC’s strategic partners such as Syngenta Vietnam, Corteva Agriscience Vietnam, and, in particular, scientists from the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute and Can Tho University.
After one cropping season of implementation in a three-year roadmap, on the morning of 11 June 2021, VFC held an online interim review conference to evaluate the results of the 2020–2021 Winter–Spring crop. The review was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Khánh Quỳnh – General Director of PAN FARM; Dr. Nguyễn Thúy Kiều Tiên – Deputy Director of the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute; Mr. Đặng Văn Bảo – Marketing Director of Syngenta Vietnam; Ms. Hoàng Linh Đa – Marketing Director of Corteva Agriscience Vietnam. VFC’s leadership was represented by Ms. Nguyễn Bạch Tuyết – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Trương Công Cứ – General Director, together with leaders of VFC’s departments and divisions. Particularly notable was the participation of nearly 200 “Integration Farmers” of VFC at online connection points, each hosted in a warm and friendly atmosphere at the home of an Integration Farmer.
In this very special context, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, VFC and farmers had to meet through small screens via online platforms. Although this was a new format, the atmosphere was lively, filled with joy and emotion as everyone had the opportunity to reconnect, share, and reflect on the results achieved after a period of collaboration.

Opening the ceremony, VFC’s leadership delivered welcome remarks and expressed appreciation to the farmers, while also reiterating the meaning and objectives of the “VFC TSCND – Integration Fields” program. Following the opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Kha – Marketing Director of VFC and representative of the organizing committee – presented the interim report for the 2020–2021 Winter–Spring crop, highlighting several encouraging initial results as follows:
- The program has contributed to “optimizing yield and optimizing profit”, gradually improving farmers’ income.
- Cultivation protocols and pest management solutions applied in the Integration Fields have shown high and stable efficacy across multiple ecological zones, contributing to more uniform yields and rice quality in Viet Nam.
- VFC’s pest management solutions are sourced from leading global companies, incorporating new-generation active ingredients and advanced manufacturing technologies. Each solution applied has demonstrated high technical efficiency, helping reduce the number of sprays, minimize environmental impacts, and particularly limit pesticide residues in rice grains.
- VFC and the Integration Farmers have developed a very close connection, enabling them to jointly share and spread the program’s effectiveness to surrounding farming communities.
- Integration Farmers have gained access to high-quality services and valuable cultivation experience from VFC, scientists, and various professional forums.
During the ceremony, the local TSCND teams presented Letters of Appreciation and Commendation Certificates from VFC’s General Director, along with commemorative gifts, to all Integration Farmers. The event concluded with heartfelt, enthusiastic, and genuinely inspiring sharing from representatives of the Integration Farmers in an uplifting and sincere atmosphere.
Through this program, VFC wishes to affirm that its effective connection with farmers is one of the five key factors determining VFC’s sustainable development in the present and in the future.
